Started as management trainee at BAT (British American Tobacco) and progressively promoted to do every position in sales, marketing, trade marketing and distribution and General Management. He worked with some of the well-reputed global companies such as British American Tobacco, Sanofi and Novartis in various senior positions of multiple functions and geographies. His last role as the Country President and Managing Director of Novartis and Sandoz. A first class first business graduate from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. Further studied in The University of Chicago Booth School of Business- Certificate on Executive Leadership and Asian Institute of Management- Building for Organic Growth Some of his important association are: Founder Vice President of Dhaka University Marketing Alumni Association, Vice President Pharma Executive Club, EC member Foreign Investors Chamber and Commerce and Industries, Vice President Switzerland-Bangladesh Chamber of commerce and Industries and a member of Rotary Club of Dhaka.
